To launch the holiday season with a review of our most popular post of 2023. The readership stats tell us that edition #192 titled “Fundamentals Lost” got the most views.
I get asked a fair amount about where the ideas come from for topics week to week. 235 editions and counting, there never seems to be a shortage of what to address. The sources come from all over really. Social and mainstream media often provide triggers. Triggers to what I have witnessed and experienced as a youth player, coach, teacher and parent.
“Fundamentals Lost” was triggered by a quote from a major league baseball manager, speaking of lost fundamentals around base running. Across multiple sports, this observation applies.
In this edition from February, I mapped out 4 of the reasons why these fundamentals are lost and 4 ways to built them back up.
Enjoy!
